What Is 20 Minute Mail?

20 Minute Mail is a free disposable email address that stays active for 20 minutes. A countdown timer is shown next to the address. When it reaches zero, the page refreshes, a new random address is created and you start with an empty inbox.

How the 20 Minute Timer Works

  1. Open this page. Your temporary email address is created automatically.
  2. Copy the address. Use the copy button and paste it into any sign-up form.
  3. Watch the countdown. The timer next to the copy button shows how much time is left.
  4. Need more time? Click the refresh icon next to the timer to restart the countdown at 20 minutes.
  5. When time is up. The page refreshes, a brand-new address is created and the old inbox is no longer shown.

When to Use a 20 Minute Email

A 20 minute address works well for free trials, coupon or newsletter sign-ups and short registration flows. For anything you need to access later, use a permanent email address instead.
